lance's family has been going to the beach for a week together every year since he was born. they go at the same time every year and it just-so-happened lance's leave time fell during the time they would be at the beach, woohoo. (such a nice gift from God.)

maybe i shouldn't post that picture first, because without knowing pop it probably just looks strange. (although knowing him it still looks a tad strange - you never know what he is up to.) pop is the patriach of lance's family and i love him to pieces - he is a RIOT and will definitely keep you laughing and let you know his opinion on everything from women to cattle to whiskey  and why dunkin donuts coffee is terrible.

basketball is a morning tradition at the beach. pop played in a league in lancaster for 20 years, and he told me his nickname was "bobby pin" ... because he tied his hair back with a bobby pin. (he ran so fast he couldn't have hair getting in his way, ha.)



hollis and stella, aka our ringbearer and flower girl. they are both such a trip and i had so much fun with them all week. we showed them our wedding video so they could watch themselves and i was saying something like, "okay now i'll fast forward to the next part you're in because we don't want to watch the whole thing ..." and stella goes, "yeah, we don't care about those other people." ha.

and hollis' little sister hadley - her little workout clothes were too cute.

 lance's friend dylan (who recently got out of the army and lives in delaware) came to hang out with us for a day. we miss him in georgia already so this was a treat.
